While the Trojan War is a thing of the past, it never ceases to be the inspiration from which developers draw their themes. Helen of Troy was a legendary beauty that caused a war between two powerful countries years ago, and 12 Trojan Mysteries uses her likeness in their design, among other symbols.
What we can make out in the backdrop is the city limits of either Greece or Troy, with the Trojan Horse itself on the bottom left. The grid takes up most of the screen and has a traditional border suited for the era. Everything onscreen is crisp and clear, with clean lines and well-designed symbols.
Aside from a large playing area, 12 Trojan Mysteries has a larger grid as well, with 6×4 reels. The paylines are rather impressive, as one would expect with a larger grid with 4,096 paylines that can lead to big wins of 20,000x your bet. Usually, games that provide these perks will have a higher volatility and lower RTP (return to player), but that isn’t the case with 12 Trojan Mysteries.

The RTP is a tad higher than average, at 96.50% but with a high volatility rating that results in about a 20.08% hit rate. All in all, the statistics aren’t bad. Players also have the choice of placing bets from 0.10 to 50, which is on the lower-risk end.
As said, the main feature of 12 Trojan Mysteries is the Trojan Horse, which serves as the mystery symbol. Rather than adding chaos, which mystery symbols can do in some slot games, the Trojan Horse can transform all the symbols on the reel into the same random one to give you more winning combos.

Then there are the scatter symbols, which is the shield. You need at least 3 to trigger the free spins. You can also add more wins if you land more scatters. During the free spins, each scatter subsequently landed adds one more free spin to the roster. The best thing about the free spins is there are no limits!
The free spins are really where the big wins are at in 12 Trojan Mysteries. Aside from the unlimited number you can earn, there is also an additional feature with the Mystery Meter. Each free spin will have a different symbol selected on top of the bar. If you get the Mystery Trojan Horse, it will turn into that selected symbol. As the spins continue, 12 Trojan Mysteries will remove the lower-paying symbols. This means that you will have a higher chance of landing the more valuable ones for better payouts.
The design isn’t incredibly innovative, as Ancient Greece, Rome and slots with the Gods are often used. What sets 12 Trojan Mysteries apart is the design. It captured our eyes, and the features were fun. They were all random, so you could never tell if the next spin would bring the max jackpot, which is a number high enough to keep our interest. At the end of the day, it’s a winning game with high stats.
