Nice, relaxing music with the sound of songbirds in the background. Very sweet soundtrack. They created a unique design for Honey Rush. It reminds me of old school games like Bejeweled. The game play area is a honeycomb shape with the reels also being honeycomb.
There are lovely symbols that are based on nature. After all, what is a bee without a flower? It’s great the way the symbols drop. If you’ve grown bored of the traditional mechanics, Honey Rush is a game you’ll want to try out.
Basic Game
You have some symbols in Honey Rush that correlate with the theme. There is a variation of flowers for the bees to get honey from. You’ll also find some coins on the reels that are silver or gold. Diamonds also show up in your favor. Special symbols will include a honey pot. The big symbol of the game for wins is the diamond. It can give you a win of 35 to x200 your stake.
The interesting thing within Honey Rush is how winning symbols disappear, allowing new symbols to drop from above. This is not only visually stimulating; you also have greater potential for new wins. This part of the game really does remind me of Bejeweled.
Honey Rush Meter
While you gain wins during game play, you are also feeding into the meter in the game. Once it’s fully charged, you are going to get some great features coming your way. When the meter is charged and you have no way of winning anything more, no worries. The next feature will prompt. This is the down low of the 4 levels of charges in the game.
- First level – when you have 20 winning symbols, your first level will be fully charged. This is going to earn you the feature known as Drone Colony. Then you’ll get a solitary sticky wild that will arrive in the play.
- Second level – It’s going to take 40 wins to get to this level. The rewards are the same as the first level.
- Third level – You’ll need 80 wins, which will earn you Drone Colony and a sticky wild.
- Fourth level – This will take 160 wins, which will solely activate the Queen Colony.
Honey Rush Colony
The colony will show up when you least expect it. It’s random and will show up during spins where you didn’t win. That, or this feature is prompted when you fill the meter up. The colony symbol is going to show up and clone right in the center of play. This has great potential to create winning clusters. There are a total of 3 different kinds of clones. They are of course variations of different bees.
Drone – A minimum of 7 symbols clustered together.
Worker – You’ll get between 7-15 symbols that cluster together. This just shows up on the reels when you’ve spun and lost.
Queen – You get a whopping 20-37 symbols all clustered together.
Multipliers
The sticky wild in Honey Rush subs out symbols and happens when your meter has filled up. It show up only in certain areas and will come from outside of the play. You can get 1,2, or x3 multipliers. If it comes in a winning cluster, the sticky moves to an empty spot before the new symbols replace the empty spots left. So you’ll be getting another chance to win. In total, there could be up to 3 of these sticky symbols simultaneously.
Pros
There are opportunities to get some big wins in Honey Rush. The variance is extremely high and you stand to win 9,000 times your stake.
Cons
While its uniqueness is a plus, it can also be a little complicated for the new player. It is highly volatile.
