At first glance, Long Mu Fortunes has a nice background. There is a woman that seems to be the highlight of the game. There is a nice, gentle soundtrack attached to it. What I noticed is how many features there were and how often they would pop up. There are dragons that appear on the reels and even if they are just partially landing on the game, they nudge themselves to expand the whole line.

Then the game gets exciting. A flurry of activity would occur as the music intensifies. A truly exciting experience with so many different ways the game changes and morphs into some serious winning streaks.
Within the Asian theme of Long Mu Fortunes, you will see some eloquent symbols that represent this. The theme is a mystical land and the stunning woman is the Mother of Dragons. There are your basic symbols that don’t pay out much (the card royals.) There are also some good luck symbols such as cymbals and gold ingots.

Drums and lantern symbols also fall on the reels. The gold ingots pay out some solid wins. If three of them land simultaneously, you get a win x5 your stake. If you land four, you’ll win x15 your stake and five will give you a win x50 your stake.
- Wild
When the Red Dragons show up on the reels, they are your wild. They sub out all the symbols except the wilds that already exist on the reels. Also, the free spin symbols will remain. This dragon is only going to land on the 2nd or 4th reel and it expands (nudges it’s way down), taking up the whole line. It’s exciting when this happens and the graphics of these dragons are already impressive enough.
The wins can end up being quite high as well in Long Mu Fortunes.
- Re-Spin
The Red Dragon wild is going to send Long Mu Fortunes into re-spins. When this happens, you’ll get one free spin. The Dragon locks in place while all other reels spin again. While all of this is going on, there may some multiplier wilds that appear. This can get you up to x3 your stake. These multipliers will also nudge their way into the game, taking up the whole line. It looks absolutely fantastic when you have these two larger-than-life dragons taking up the lines.
- Jackpot
Not only do you have hefty chances for wins with the basic features in Long Mu Fortunes, there are a total of two jackpots in the game too. Every time a Red Dragon lands, it throws a coin in the antique looking pot that sits above the game play area. This can trigger the Jackpot feature from time to time, it’s totally random however. When triggered, there is a chance of a win x100 your stake. If you fall into the Grand Jackpot, you win x5,000 your stake.
- Free Spins
The last of the ample features in Long Mu Fortunes is the free spins. You’ll be playing this if the scatter symbols show up 3 in a row. They have to land on the middle rows to trigger it. During the feature, all your wins are multiplied by two. Any wins that involve the multiplier wilds are going to earn you a x3 your stake win. It’s another exciting part of the game that can lead into big wins and a theatrical event within the game.
Pros
A beautiful display brought to life, especially when you’re in the middle of a feature. I found that I was in a fun feature often in the game, making it more exciting. They really create a lot of excitement around the winning too. Golden coins and gems fly all over the place as your wins tally up. At one point, the dragons come together, creating a yin/yang symbol. Just some beautiful Chinese cartoon art that really makes this game special.
Cons
Some would say that Long Mu Fortunes is based on some of Microgaming’s other games, they just changed the theme. So the one con might be that it is not exactly original.
