Odin: Protector of the Realms from Play’n GO studio and found on their platform, is playable on all devices and several web browsers - which is fantastic - with no change in quality. It has a Norse Mythology theme and backstory. Odin: Protector of the Realms is almost identical to Honey Rush, with a new theme and some new special features.
There's a short video before the game starts - that you can skip - that lays out the backstory for Odin: Protector of the Realms. Thor and the other Aesir are scattered throughout the universe fighting evil, and only Odin remains to protect the Hexgate.
Odin: Protector of the Realms is DRAMATIC. Odin is very serious about this. When special features activate, Odin hammers his sceptre, hits his chest with his fist, and yells a war cry. The background is Asgard, with twinkling stars and menacing statues flanking the game grid. Odin stands to the right and appears ready for action.
The Odin: Protector of the Realms sounds are a bit piercing and repetitive after a while. There's a dramatic flute with wins, and Odin provides the odd “for Asgard!” and “we must protect the realms!” It's great that they put in the effort, but an amazing soundtrack would have been less irritating and more dramatic.

The low pay symbols are runes, while the high pay symbols are the shields, swords, horns, and hammers. The wild symbol for slot is a golden sword that replaces all other pay symbols.
Odin: Protector of the Realms has the popular cascading reels mechanic. Winning symbols drop from the grid and are replaced with new symbols, hopefully with another winning cluster.
The ring meter to the left of the game grid keeps track of cascading wins. Landing 30 or 70 or 120 symbols in a single spin will activate one of Odin: Protector of the Realms Forged Features, bronze, silver, and gold, respectively.
The Forged Features lead to winning clusters in the centre of the grid. With bronze awarding at least seven symbols, silver awarding 12-19, and gold awarding 20-37 (potentially the entire grid!). But that's not all. Odin: Protector of the Realms also triggers random grid modifiers when it strikes his fancy. The Wisdom modifier will change the middle symbol to either a high pay symbol or a wild.
If players are five symbols away from triggering the Forged Feature, and no more winning symbols show up - so close! - the Power modifier can remove two random symbols and replace them with the cascade, giving another chance to win.

Finally, the Glory modifier is triggered only after a non-winning spin and can award two to eight randomly placed wilds.
The cascading reels mechanic and the Forged Features in slot are enough to make this game stand apart from the competition. It's a solid model that players enjoy, and adding the random Odin modifiers makes things even more enjoyable. In addition, the graphics and short animations show that Play’n GO cared to put some effort into the game, which is always a good sign.
The sounds aren't the best, but they aren't the worst either, and the gameplay makes up for the possible annoyance some players may experience. The Norse Mythology theme is done well, and players who enjoy that will appreciate the game's aesthetic. Odin: Protector of the Realms is well worth a look, offering great gameplay and beautiful graphics.
