Just one look at Savanna Roar, we were caught off-guard by the beautiful design that clearly took a lot of thought and effort. We’re transported to the African plains once again to see majestic mammals up close and personal in Savanna Roar.
Video Savanna Roar™ – Yggdrasil Gaming
We are right in the middle of the plains with an elephant watering hole in the background and Serengeti trees littering the background, giving the game a very authentic vibe.
The grid is very large and sits front and center on the screen, demanding all your attention. The backdrop doesn’t change in Savanna Roar and you’re spinning the reels in perpetual daylight.
Savanna Roar Details
When we dive deeper into the specs of the game, we’re pleasantly surprised by the RTP (return to player), which is at a very nice 96.56%, which is a whole half percentage above average.

The math model is also highly inviting with Savanna Roar sitting at medium high on the volatility scale. For a game with such high wins and RTP, we really expected more volatility, so that’s a huge bonus in favor of the game.
Savanna Roar Features
The mechanics in Savanna Roar is uncomplicated, which was what the developers were going for. First up, we have the wilds, which is the King of all Mammals, the lion icon. There are other modifiers that will happen during the duration of the game, each of them represented by a different animal.

The elephant modifier brings enlarged elephants to the grid, ones that spread out over 3x3 positions. The buffalo modifier spread into the neighboring grids to give you even more chances of winning combos.
The leopard modifier in Savanna Roar transforms the leopard symbols into wilds, and the rhino will add a random symbol into various positions, which will then become the same symbol.

Depending on how many scatters you manage to get, you can get anywhere between 10 to 25 free spins. The free spins offer even more special symbols such as the leopard multiplier.
Verdict
The game is great, but nothing about it stands out or is jaw dropping. However, it provides users with a very healthy RTP, a high max payout, a wide betting range and lots of incentive to play with a medium high volatility rating. The design is beautiful and the mechanics are straightforward, so what’s not to love.
