Taking a 180-degree turn from Moon Princess, Sisters of the Sun takes us to the hot deserts of Egypt, where we’re greeted by three beautiful deities - the three daughters of Ra the Sun God. Their names are Hathor, Bastet and Sekhmet. What you may picture when Egypt deserts are mentioned is light beige sand, the hot beaming sun, sand dunes as far as the eye can see and maybe an oasis in the distance.

Video Sisters of the Sun™ – Play’n GO

Sisters of the Sun takes us and drops us smack dab in the middle what looks to be the depths of the underworld. There is an eerie red glow and evil-looking curved summits in the background.

Sisters of the Sun

The grid is situated directly in front of the screen and is semi-transparent. There is nothing special about the gold-bordered playing grid in Sisters of the Sun, and it is made up of 5x5 reels. The RTP, or return to player, is variable, but the default is acceptable at 96.20%. However, bear in mind that the other values are not quite as inviting at 94.20%, 91.20%, 87.20% and a very dismal 84.20%.

We don’t often see figures quite that low, which makes us appreciate the highest default RTP. Sisters of the Sun features a cluster pay mechanic, which doesn’t give it any numbered paylines. The max win is a very nice 15,000x your bet, but we’re here to tell you that your odds of earning it are not looking good at all.

The game is highly volatile, sitting at 8 out of 10, and the betting range is from 0.20 to 100.

Sisters of the Sun Features

We understand that the probability and the stats are not looking good, which makes new and experienced players tentative to try Sisters of the Sun. Before you make snap judgments, let’s take a look at the features.

Sisters of the Sun scatterFirst of all, there is a cascade feature, which removes the winning combos to make space for new symbols, which can lead to more wins. A winning combo consists of 3 symbols, once the cascade removes it from the grid, the middle is replaced by a wild. If you manage to clear the grid of all symbols, then you get 50x your bet plus an active win multiplier.

There is also a random feature in Sisters of the Sun where there are 5 positions on the grid that will have the Eye of Ra on each spin. When you land winning combos on these symbols, you will add a 1x multiplier. The Sisters of the Sun will also come in handy and any one of them can show up on a non-winning spin. You don’t know who you will get, but they bring different benefits.

Sekhmet, the one with the feline face, will turn one symbol set into another. Hathor, the most human-looking sister will add a couple of wilds and Bastet, the one with the eye tattoo, will remove two types of symbols.

Sisters of the Sun goddess power

The glowing scroll scatter symbol will trigger another feature, where the goddesses’ powers are added to non-wins and it will continue until you have gained the powers of all three sisters. If you clear the playing grid, you also gain free spins during this feature.

Sisters of the Sun Verdict

As much as we feel the specs are not in the players’ favor, there is no denying that the features are complex and entertaining. It’s much more volatile than many other games and the design really doesn’t do much, but the excitement from Sisters of the Sun is also unmatched.
